Activation process
You need to specify an activation date for these cards. No activation on Sundays. Your phone number will be sent to you only after activation. Your validity period begins when the card is activated, due to which we suggest to activate only the day before you travel.
Using the SIM Card
Using the SIM Card for the first time
- Power off your phone
- Insert your new SIM card
- Power on your phone
- Your phone should connect on a GSM/WCDMA/LTE network.
Coverage
Our cheaper SIM cards work on the T mobile network, either directly or through their partners. T mobile is an ultra fast network, however its remote area coverage lags that of AT&T. If you intend to visit many remote areas in the USA, such as Alaska, natural beauty spots, national parks etc, you may want to consider our SIM cards that use the AT&T network, marked (High Coverage).
Receiving calls
People in USA can dial your number directly to reach you, for example, 1 804 555 1233; People outside USA need to add + to your number, for example, +1 804 555 1233
Calling a number in North America
Dial the 11 digit number directly; for example, call number 1 804 555 1233 directly. You can also add + to the number before dialing. There is no distinction between a landline number and a mobile number in North America
Calling India using Direct Dial
Dial “011” or “+” + country code + phone number. For example, to call India number 022 24216344, dial “01191 22 24216344” or +91 22 24216344.
Calling India using 2 stage dialing (for High Coverage cards):
Dial USA Access Number +13476701779 & when prompted dial the India number in full international format. E.g. 912224216344).

Emergency Call Number: 911
Please dial “911” to report an emergency. They will ask you your location and the nature of the emergency. There are penalties for calling this number when not in emergency situations.
Extension of validity
These cards can be refilled at the telecom operator’s site for an extension of validity. The telecom operator name is mentioned on the SIM card that you receive. These refills will generally be more expensive than the rates paid to TSIM.
APN Setting
APN setting is automatic and should not require to be set manually. In case of no data initially please restart your phone and wait for a few minutes.
What is an eSIM?
eSIM stands for “embedded” SIM which is installed in your phone by scanning a QR code or tapping a notification. If an activation date is required the QR code / Notification is sent after activation, else 24hours after completing your documentation.
eSIM Advantages
- Easy to use: Set up your plan by scanning a simple QR code or tapping a notification.
- Save on Shipping cost: No physical delivery requirement
- Save on time: In a rush to travel? We will send eSIM QR Code via email. Scan it as per instructions and It will be ready to use upon arrival.
- Keep your original SIM: The eSIM is in addition to your original SIM which will work as usual if you need it.
eSIM Disadvantages
- Unfamiliar: Since it is a new technology expect to be learning a bit.
- eSIM Compatible Phones: eSIM will only work in eSIM compatible phones. As a general rule, iPhone 11 and Android model 2021 and higher models are compatible with eSIM.
- Single Use Only: Most eSIM codes can be used only once. Please do not delete the eSIM created on your phone, since it cannot be recreated on your phone or any other phone. However you can de-activate the eSIM when not needed from your settings.
- Transfer of eSIM: To transfer an eSIM from one phone to another you must visit the store of the Operator concerned. However some USA eSIMs can be transferred from one iPhone to another.
Activating eSIM on your Device using a QR Code
Most eSIMs are installed using a QR code. The QR code is sent to you by eMail. You need an Internet connection to install an eSIM
iPhone XR, XS and newer
- Go to Settings, then Cellular.
- Select Add a plan, and the Camera app will open.
- Point your camera at the QR activation code until you see a message that says Installing cellular plan.
2021 Android and newer
- Go to Settings > Connections > SIM card manager
- Tap Add mobile plan
- Tap Add using QR code
- Scan the QR activation code
Activating eSIM on your Device using an Operator Notification
T-mobile, AT&T and some other operators make it even simpler to install eSIMs. They send a notification directly to your phone. Just tap on the notification and follow the instructions as in images below. The notification is sent to the phone you intend to use on your trip for which you have given us the EID and IMEI number by dialing *#06#.

I have had good experience with TSIM in other countries but USA was a nightmare.
I purchased 2 cards of 1 month validity of Rs 1489.00. I had a terrible experience with both the cards. The data on both were big ZERO, while one ending with with 47 would connect at times the other ending with 98 was almost perpetually showing “not registered with network”. We had to restart the phone umpteem no of times.
On inquiry we found that Lycamobile is amongst the worst signal carriers as it a sub carrier of T Mobil which carries its signal on low priority.
TSIM should look for other carries for US to retain customers

5 Stars. No issues at all. Bought high coverage SIM and received AT&T network in USA.
My phone is incompatible for 4G in USA but I got LTE speeds for data and its more than enough for maps , navigation, chats, whatsapp calls. Excellent coverage in both New York and New Jersey. I am also happy with the support provided by TSIM Customer care. Mobile network is available almost all the time.But 2Stage calling is not very convenient since we have to note down the number from phone first and then type in manually after connecting to 2 stage number.

I used the High Coverage SIM for the my visit to San Francisco, CA. I got excellent coverage, no call drops and high speed data. The customer service was excellent right from providing appropriate information and activation of service.
I would strongly recommending using the high coverage card.

Regarding your payment, this was due to some confusion due to the change in your order from non-hotspot type to hotspot after placing it. We are improving our internal systems to ensure that we are able to handle such cases better.
We rely on some publicly available specifications while checking phones for compatibility. Unfortunately in the case of Redmi Go, the information available was incorrect.

I was travelling to Boston, USA and took a prepaid USA sim card for this purpose. TSim confirmed to me that Redmi Go will work for 4g and not my Moto E4 plus. So I bought a Redmi Go just for this purpose. I bought the sim online (by paying full amount) and the experience was good with prompt customer service till I left for USA. I got my visa on last date and uploaded my copy and waited for the sim to be activated.
After reaching USA, I got the message from Tsim that my sim won’t be activated because I didn’t pay the amount!! This was highly unprofessional and when I complained through mail and phone, they rectified. But no word of apology or sorry was offered for this gross negligence and inconvenience caused to me as I dont have a sim card even on my second day in USA. Fortunately i had activated international roaming as backup.
Once the sim is activated, I got only 2G service. When contacted i got reply that it is my phone problem. Remember I bought a new phone just believing the word of Tsim. They gave me a lyca mobile which was not giving me 4G service in Boston, Atlanta or Florida. It gave me 3G service in Baltimore where I was on brief transit thus proving wrong the claim that it was my phone issue.
In short after spending 3000 rs the sim was of no use to me in one week USA travel. It is the responsibility of Tsim to identify which area the customer is travelling and provide the best sim from that area. In this case AT&T was giving 4G service in my vodafone roaming service in all places. If they had provided an AT&T sim, I would have used it properly. My friend (whom I referred) got an At&T sim from Tsim.
So I would not recommend Tsim to anyone but if you are taking it, please do a personal research or with local citizens to find out the best sim and phone and then demand for that sim card form Tsim. Make sure that Tsim ‘realise’ that you made the payment before proceeding for your journey so that you don’t get ‘shockers’ like me. Their customer service is very prompt and provides replies for all queries. I am giving 2 star just for their prompt customer service even though it was of no use to me at the end as far as sim is concerned.

The internet coverage around Boston and New york area was fantastic. I just face difficulty in making calls to India. It is a hassle- you have dial a long number then wait to dial to actual number, never did the call connect. Otherwise, you can make whats app calls without a problem.

I bought two unlimited usa sims for two months in July for usa travel.
This time I had some problems with unlimited usa calling, as it was stopped half way between my travel. Interesting that FUP got active which is 1000 minutes and not unlimited calling. In my case, I didn’t even use 1000 minutes but got blocked. After Interacting with Tsim customer care, the problem finally got resolved after two days.
Also calling to India, the clarity is lacking.
Similarly was having problem with data and had to spend some time to get that resolved by modifying apn settings.
I am regular customer of Tsim and this time I was not fully happy.

I bought 10 days unlimited data TSIM while going to USA. DatamSpeed and connection were good even for 3G connection. However, calling to India is not easy.
We have to call certain number in USA and thereafter again dial India number without + sign. This is was very uncomfortable since most numbers are stored in phone with + sign. The USA number would not wait until I dialed India number. It disconnected very fast. However calling from Whatsapp or Telegram would work properly.

I have bought sim on June 6th and Tsim informed on June 10th it will refunded due to issue in SIM Card.They informed that 3 to 4 working days for refund.Its has been 22 days till now they are processing the refund. i have to daily call customer care or chat message get updates,they inform the same 3 to 4 days again.
Kindly recommend TSim check the issue and inform the customer don’t give excuses every time.
I am not sure who will solve my issue now.
I will not recommend any one to buy TSim because of very poor support and customer service.

My T SIM order number is 157573. I landed in USA on 13th June, 2019. I had no difficulty in installing the SIM in my Redmi Y2 mobile phone. As soon as I switched on the phone in USA, it latched on to the local network and I was able to call my son from the Dallas airport.
