Activation process
You need to specify an activation date for these cards. No activation on Sundays. Your phone number will be sent to you only after activation. Your validity period begins when the card is activated, due to which we suggest to activate only the day before you travel.
Using the SIM Card
Using the SIM Card for the first time
- Power off your phone
- Insert your new SIM card
- Power on your phone
- Your phone should connect on a GSM/WCDMA/LTE network.
Coverage
Our cheaper SIM cards work on the T mobile network, either directly or through their partners. T mobile is an ultra fast network, however its remote area coverage lags that of AT&T. If you intend to visit many remote areas in the USA, such as Alaska, natural beauty spots, national parks etc, you may want to consider our SIM cards that use the AT&T network, marked (High Coverage).
Receiving calls
People in USA can dial your number directly to reach you, for example, 1 804 555 1233; People outside USA need to add + to your number, for example, +1 804 555 1233
Calling a number in North America
Dial the 11 digit number directly; for example, call number 1 804 555 1233 directly. You can also add + to the number before dialing. There is no distinction between a landline number and a mobile number in North America
Calling India using Direct Dial
Dial “011” or “+” + country code + phone number. For example, to call India number 022 24216344, dial “01191 22 24216344” or +91 22 24216344.
Calling India using 2 stage dialing (for High Coverage cards):
Dial USA Access Number +13476701779 & when prompted dial the India number in full international format. E.g. 912224216344).

Emergency Call Number: 911
Please dial “911” to report an emergency. They will ask you your location and the nature of the emergency. There are penalties for calling this number when not in emergency situations.
Extension of validity
These cards can be refilled at the telecom operator’s site for an extension of validity. The telecom operator name is mentioned on the SIM card that you receive. These refills will generally be more expensive than the rates paid to TSIM.
APN Setting
APN setting is automatic and should not require to be set manually. In case of no data initially please restart your phone and wait for a few minutes.
What is an eSIM?
eSIM stands for “embedded” SIM which is installed in your phone by scanning a QR code or tapping a notification. If an activation date is required the QR code / Notification is sent after activation, else 24hours after completing your documentation.
eSIM Advantages
- Easy to use: Set up your plan by scanning a simple QR code or tapping a notification.
- Save on Shipping cost: No physical delivery requirement
- Save on time: In a rush to travel? We will send eSIM QR Code via email. Scan it as per instructions and It will be ready to use upon arrival.
- Keep your original SIM: The eSIM is in addition to your original SIM which will work as usual if you need it.
eSIM Disadvantages
- Unfamiliar: Since it is a new technology expect to be learning a bit.
- eSIM Compatible Phones: eSIM will only work in eSIM compatible phones. As a general rule, iPhone 11 and Android model 2021 and higher models are compatible with eSIM.
- Single Use Only: Most eSIM codes can be used only once. Please do not delete the eSIM created on your phone, since it cannot be recreated on your phone or any other phone. However you can de-activate the eSIM when not needed from your settings.
- Transfer of eSIM: To transfer an eSIM from one phone to another you must visit the store of the Operator concerned. However some USA eSIMs can be transferred from one iPhone to another.
Activating eSIM on your Device using a QR Code
Most eSIMs are installed using a QR code. The QR code is sent to you by eMail. You need an Internet connection to install an eSIM
iPhone XR, XS and newer
- Go to Settings, then Cellular.
- Select Add a plan, and the Camera app will open.
- Point your camera at the QR activation code until you see a message that says Installing cellular plan.
2021 Android and newer
- Go to Settings > Connections > SIM card manager
- Tap Add mobile plan
- Tap Add using QR code
- Scan the QR activation code
Activating eSIM on your Device using an Operator Notification
T-mobile, AT&T and some other operators make it even simpler to install eSIMs. They send a notification directly to your phone. Just tap on the notification and follow the instructions as in images below. The notification is sent to the phone you intend to use on your trip for which you have given us the EID and IMEI number by dialing *#06#.

The delivery service was excellent and the sim cards were activated on the date required and we received our US Nos. on the date of activation. Thank you for your detailed review. We apologise for the delay in delivering your SIM card. As the order was placed on a Sunday, the earliest it could have been delivered is Tuesday. Unfortunately due to issues with Blue Dart it was ultimately delivered on Wednesday. This also delays the activation process by a day, since, as a security measure, we do not activate the SIM card till we get confirmation of its receipt.
Since you were able to receive calls from India, we cannot ascertain now why your USA colleagues were connecting with the wrong person. It is possible they had the wrong number or format. Such issues are best solved in real time with assistance from AT&T.

I had purchased an unlimited USA sim card(high coverage) for 30 days validity and I am sorry to say that my experience hasn’t been good. My bad experience started even before my travel commenced. I paid for express 1 day delivery of the sim but received my sim card only after 3 days, courtesy their logistics partner bluedart. After that, it took them almost 2 days to generate my USA number after the sim is activated. Even after calling TSIM’s customer care multiple times and getting multiple assurances that they would themselves let me know my number when it is generated, there was no call or email sent to me when the number was actually available (at the last moment ). I had to initiate a online chat from the airport to know about the usa number that I will be using. The biggest trouble started after I reached US. I was able to place calls and send texts from my USA number (AT&T) but when others with some other US number were trying to call me or text me , it was directing them to a different person. I had given my contact number to all my US office colleagues, but they could never reach me ;Isnt this embarassing ? This kept happening for the whole period. I was forced to activate international roaming in my India number to remain reachable for others. Sorry TSIM, this is not what I had expected. I will never go for TSIM and will not recommend others to use it either.

I have bought Unlimited USA Sim Card from online by 6th and informed for activation on 7th June and reached USA by 8th June.The sim was not activated by 7th June.
When i communicated to TSIM support they told that it will be done by 8th June EOD. But it was not done.I have contacted by 9th June and they informed that it will be communicated that will active EOD but as usual nothing happened.When i contacted by 10 th June they said will inform by EOD and finally they said we will process refund as it is not possible for activation.
They would have informed by 8th June.I would have bought SIM in airport itself without phone i have traveled 3 days.

Used this card in May-June2019 during our recent visit to US. This card is very cost effective. We stayed for nearly all days in Bay Area, where the card worked very well. I also visited New Jersey for 2 days. In New Jersey, the connection was very spotty, with connection getting broken or in many places simply showing no connection.

Good product. Good delivery. Good price. Good connectivity in USA. Contacting them on phone is very very very difficult after you have made payment. . Therefore 3 stars.
If you understand a DC follow all their website instructions 100% all will be fine. If you have deviations, returns, reissues there will be difficulties. Biggest problem I faced was get them on phone. But in the end all was fine. In US the connectivity was superfine. On my next visit I will use this service only. I am giving them 3 stars in the hope that they will improve their system of responding to customers calling them to talk to them to seek clarifications after making payments.

This SIM card is very good. When I landed in Seattle just turn on phone and it start working without any issue. I could able to talk to my family immediately. Service was good in US and I have not trouble to get signal. Internet was slightly slow but off course my phone was also old. Overall its good experience I will recommend others to enjoy Tsim.

The signal reception and 4G internet speed on my 10-day unlimited package was great. The only problem i faced that on the 10th day of my trip, the sim did not receive signal anymore. I guess T-Sim counts 10 days per Indian time. I had written email that I am unable to use the service on 10th day, but no reply.

Phone calls and SMS were all right from the beginning – in fact, I started receiving SMS right after activation, even before I left India. Internet connectivity had initial teething issues, but were resolved. Overall, good experience. Just one issue: I purchased my SIM for one month’s duration and spent 10 days in the USA. However, upon return home I find that SMS reception has been blocked.
