Coverage
Our cheaper SIM cards work on the T mobile network, either directly or through their partners. T mobile is an ultra fast network, however its remote area coverage lags that of AT&T. If you intend to visit many remote areas in the USA, such as Alaska, natural beauty spots, national parks etc, you may want to consider our SIM cards that use the AT&T network, marked (High Coverage).
Receiving calls
People in USA can dial your number directly to reach you, for example, 1 804 555 1233; People outside USA need to add + to your number, for example, +1 804 555 1233
Calling a number in North America
Dial the 11 digit number directly; for example, call number 1 804 555 1233 directly. You can also add + to the number before dialing. There is no distinction between a landline number and a mobile number in North America
Calling India using Direct Dial
Dial “011” or “+” + country code + phone number. For example, to call India number 022 24216344, dial “01191 22 24216344” or +91 22 24216344.
Calling India using 2 stage dialing (for High Coverage cards):
Dial USA Access Number +13476701779 & when prompted dial the India number in full international format. E.g. 912224216344).
Helpdesk
TSIM’s customer service agents can be reached via:
Email: services@tsim.in
Chat: https://www.tsim.in
Phone: +91 22 24216344 / +1 646 918 1335 / +44 203 773 2460.
Emergency Call Number: 911
Please dial “911” to report an emergency. They will ask you your location and the nature of the emergency. There are penalties for calling this number when not in emergency situations.
Extension of validity
These cards can be refilled at the telecom operator’s site for an extension of validity. The telecom operator name is mentioned on the SIM card that you receive. These refills will generally be more expensive than the rates paid to TSIM.
APN Setting
APN setting is automatic and should not require to be set manually. In case of no data initially please restart your phone and wait for a few minutes.
eSIM Details
What is an eSIM?
eSIM stands for “embedded” SIM which is installed in your phone by scanning a QR code or tapping a notification. If an activation date is required the QR code / Notification is sent after activation, else 24hours after completing your documentation.
eSIM Advantages
- Easy to use: Set up your plan by scanning a simple QR code or tapping a notification.
- Save on Shipping cost: No physical delivery requirement
- Save on time: In a rush to travel? We will send eSIM QR Code via email. Scan it as per instructions and It will be ready to use upon arrival.
- Keep your original SIM: The eSIM is in addition to your original SIM which will work as usual if you need it.
eSIM Disadvantages
- Unfamiliar: Since it is a new technology expect to be learning a bit.
- eSIM Compatible Phones: eSIM will only work in eSIM compatible phones. As a general rule, iPhone 11 and Android model 2021 and higher models are compatible with eSIM.
- Single Use Only: Most eSIM codes can be used only once. Please do not delete the eSIM created on your phone, since it cannot be recreated on your phone or any other phone. However you can de-activate the eSIM when not needed from your settings.
- Transfer of eSIM: To transfer an eSIM from one phone to another you must visit the store of the Operator concerned. However some USA eSIMs can be transferred from one iPhone to another.
Activating eSIM on your Device using a QR Code
Most eSIMs are installed using a QR code. The QR code is sent to you by eMail. You need an Internet connection to install an eSIM
iPhone XR, XS and newer
- Go to Settings, then Cellular.
- Select Add a plan, and the Camera app will open.
- Point your camera at the QR activation code until you see a message that says Installing cellular plan.
2021 Android and newer
- Go to Settings > Connections > SIM card manager
- Tap Add mobile plan
- Tap Add using QR code
- Scan the QR activation code
Activating eSIM on your Device using an Operator Notification
T-mobile, AT&T and some other operators make it even simpler to install eSIMs. They send a notification directly to your phone. Just tap on the notification and follow the instructions as in images below. The notification is sent to the phone you intend to use on your trip for which you have given us the EID and IMEI number by dialing *#06#.

I have visited USA in December 2019. I have been to New York, Boston, Chicago, Miami and keywest. I have taken 5GB package. I was little skeptical about TSIM initially but the network was great in all these places. No issues whatsoever. Package charges are also reasonable compared to other networks. Definitely recommend this!

I used the TSIM card in SFO area. Overall it had good coverage but some regions up north had reception problems.

TSIM’s Unlimited USA Card worked well enough for me. Although it did not work inside the Grand Canyon National Park, although I specifically got a high coverage card because I was going to travel. So, in a way, it let me down. Overall, everywhere else, the reception was pretty decent and the sim came to life with AT&T’s network once the flight landed at San Francisco. I would have rated it 5 stars, but because I didn’t actually get any tower reception inside the GC, I rated it 4 stars.

In October I used Tsim for USA and it worked nicely for both calling as well for net. Universal Adaptor provided free was useless not fitted in plug.
Services Tsim (verified owner) –
Thank you fir your balanced review. The adaptor pins need to be locked before insertion else they do not fit. We are sorry the adaptor did not work for you.

Excellent service right from buying the product– verification–activation– using SIM IN US – unlimited calls and mobile data.
For me it was the first time I traveled to US and I choose to travel with TSIM and it has provided me with exceptional service at one time cost.
Quality of mobile data and call is excellent.
I strongly recommend fellow passengers to avail and enjoy services provided by TSIM.

The Sim got delivered and activated on time. By the time I landed in New York airport, I started using it.
I used the Sim primarily in New York City for three weeks. I would say the coverage was decent though sometimes it was below par. I would say it was like 80-20. 80% coverage was good and the remaining 20% the signal was bad.
Since the data was unlimited I really used upto maximum benefit. Otherwise good job t-sim for providing such huge benefits at the low cost rate. When I compared with other providers nobody was providing these many benefits like unlimited data and calls to India.
One small issue with this is two factor dialing which is sometimes annoying, that is dialing to a number and then dialing to the actual number but considering the other benefits I would say this is the best sim card.

Thank you for your detailed review and for specifying the city in which you used it. It is true the high coverage cards have a 2 stage dialing process. We are looking for ways to improve the convenience of the same.

The sim was very good in Dallas and LA… but the reason for 1 star is because the sim got deactivated suddenly leaving me stranded in a foreign country without any working SIM… had lots of chaos for meetings, taxis and reaching airport. The simple answer was we are sorry we cannot fix it. That was bad…
Services Tsim (verified owner) –
We are sorry the SIM was deactivated a day before it should have due. We have processed a partial refund for your trip. We apologise for the inconvenience.

The simcard was delivered on time and worked great in Utah, Montana, Idaho, Arizona and Nevada. It did not work in parts of National Parks but it was a no-coverage area anyway.
Services Tsim (verified owner) –
Thank you for your kind review and for confirming the areas in which the SIM card worked. For national parks we recommend the high coverage SIM cards, however it is true that some parts of these parks are declared completely no coverage.

As SIM card, I did not find any issues with it. I used its data service for my google navigation and it was very useful and helpful, especially i needed for self drive in US.
Overall the features and the service is excellent. I would always buy one when going abroad. I would recommend this over other SIM cards.

We bought the High Coverage (read AT&T) USA unlimited sim card. Everything from ordering, delivery, to working worked very well. The activation went smoothly as advertised. The SIM came to life on its own once we landed in the US, a pleasant surprise. The coverage was adequate in urban areas (we were mostly in urban areas). We had chosen AT&T because there was a higher chance that I’d get 4G (LTE) even with my Moto g5 plus having only one of the requisite bands that are prevalent in the US. My experience with T-Mobile was not happy with my phone (nothing to do with T-Mobile, it’s just that moto g5 sold in India doesn’t have all the right frequency bands. With AT&T, there was a higher chance. Accordingly, the phone did get LTE occasionally. Most of the times, it was 3G but the speed was quite adequate for general browsing, email, whatsApp (with voice calls).
The 2-step dialing to India with AT&T cards is a hassle because you need to first dial a US access number, but the workaround is quite simple. I added a person (called it ATT Dialer) in my contacts list. Then I added various India numbers to this person as follows:
Suppose your mom’s India number is (022) 3456-7890. And the US internal access number is (123) 555-4321. Then add a new phone number for your Mom’s entry in your Contact list. Custom name this phone number as ‘Mom from US’. The phone number should be: 1-123-555-4321;91-22-3456-7890. You don’t need the ‘dashes’. To insert the ‘;’ (which is called WAIT) into the number, press the ‘*’ key on your dialpad at the place where you want to insert the ‘;’ (basically between the internal access number and Mom’s India number. It will open up another set of options. One of them is a ‘WAIT’. Select that and you will see a semicolon ‘;’ added to the number. Similarly, create new phones in the Contact entries for all the people that you want to call frequently from the US. Save the contacts and exit. It is important to save Mom’s local number with the country code (91) but without any preceding ‘+’ sign.
Now, when you want to call ‘Mom’ from the US, simply open Mom’s entry from the Contacts list and call the new custom number (Mom from US). The phone will first dial the internal access number automatically. Then it will stop and you will start hearing a recorded message to dial the India number. Simultaneously, a small window will pop-up on your phone screen asking you if you want to send the rest of the digits (starting with 91). Simply say ‘Yes’ (or submit or whatever the appropriate option is). The dialer will wait until you choose this option. Don’t wait for too long, otherwise the phone will get cutoff. Once you choose the option, the dialer will dial the rest of the number (your Mom’s India number starting with 91). Simply stay on the line and your call will go thru.
Another option is you can simply add the phone numbers to each of the contacts as explained above.
Works like a charm and saves the need to remember the local numbers and manually dial them after prompted. Note, you cannot insert a ‘WAIT’ while dialing. You must store the number as described above in a Contact.
Enjoy.
