Using the SIM Card
Using the SIM Card for the first time
- Power off your phone
- Insert your new SIM card
- Power on your phone
- Ensure that roaming is turned on your phone.
- Your phone should connect on a GSM/WCDMA/LTE network.
Please also note, using this SIM card to surf Internet or make calls outside covered countries will significantly reduce the data and voice usage capacity, or even cause the SIM card to stop functioning.
Receiving calls
People anywhere in the world can dial your UK or French number directly to reach you, for example, +44774132 12345 or +33674132 12345. The local number is especially useful for booking cabs, hotels and restaurant reservations.
Making local calls
For the purposes of this card, local calls include calls to any country mentioned under “Coverage”, from any country mentioned under “Coverage”. To make such calls use the full international format. E.g. to call a UK landline number from any country use (for example) +44 207 222 1234.
What is an eSIM?
eSIM stands for “embedded” SIM which is installed in your phone by scanning a QR code or tapping a notification. If an activation date is required the QR code / Notification is sent after activation, else 24hours after completing your documentation.
eSIM Advantages
- Easy to use: Set up your plan by scanning a simple QR code or tapping a notification.
- Save on Shipping cost: No physical delivery requirement
- Save on time: In a rush to travel? We will send eSIM QR Code via email. Scan it as per instructions and It will be ready to use upon arrival.
- Keep your original SIM: The eSIM is in addition to your original SIM which will work as usual if you need it.
eSIM Disadvantages
- Unfamiliar: Since it is a new technology expect to be learning a bit.
- eSIM Compatible Phones: eSIM will only work in eSIM compatible phones. As a general rule, iPhone 11 and Android model 2021 and higher models are compatible with eSIM.
- Single Use Only: Most eSIM codes can be used only once. Please do not delete the eSIM created on your phone, since it cannot be recreated on your phone or any other phone. However you can de-activate the eSIM when not needed from your settings.
- Transfer of eSIM: To transfer an eSIM from one phone to another you must visit the store of the Operator concerned. However some USA eSIMs can be transferred from one iPhone to another.
Activating eSIM on your Device using a QR Code
Most eSIMs are installed using a QR code. The QR code is sent to you by eMail. You need an Internet connection to install an eSIM
iPhone XR, XS and newer
- Go to Settings, then Cellular.
- Select Add a plan, and the Camera app will open.
- Point your camera at the QR activation code until you see a message that says Installing cellular plan.
2021 Android and newer
- Go to Settings > Connections > SIM card manager
- Tap Add mobile plan
- Tap Add using QR code
- Scan the QR activation code
Activating eSIM on your Device using an Operator Notification
T-mobile, AT&T and some other operators make it even simpler to install eSIMs. They send a notification directly to your phone. Just tap on the notification and follow the instructions as in images below. The notification is sent to the phone you intend to use on your trip for which you have given us the EID and IMEI number by dialing *#06#. Click here to know why IMEI and EID numbers are needed.

My Sim worked well for calls and internet. Problems are:
01. Every time the phone is powered off and then switched on, it asked for the PIN. This is very inconvenient especially when travelling with luggage and in airports etc and one has to remember this PIN number.
02. All notifications came in Spanish or French etc and not understandable, so they only caused confusion and anxiety as to what the message was about.
03. No English helpline is available. My wife’s Orange SIM failed and stopped working during the early part of the trip and Orange was of no assistance and only after getting the help of a person who could understand French, the information she got was to contact Tsim India.

Pros : 1. Delivery was quick and as promised. Got the card delivered on next working day .
2. Data worked flawlessly everywhere . Speed was very good and connection was consistent.
3. Card started working immediately after landing in Denmark .
Cons : 1. In the list of nations where it will work Turkey is mentioned but card did not work on Istanbul airport . On chat support I was told card will not work in Turkey .
2. On google play store could not find proper app through which I can check balance of data. There are more than one movistar applications on Play store like Movistar columbia , Movistar Argentina etc . Tried with one of these but message was ‘ no such number exists .’
3. I could make voice calls to couple of number in Denmark but when tried few other numbers , could not connect. Message was ‘ Call to these numbers is not allowed ‘. Numbers were of Denmark only (starting with +45)
4.When I tried to contact support , via chat for above mentioned issue , there was no reply/response for long long time .I waited and waited and then had no option but to leave the chat (I do have a screenshot)
5.Instruction page that I received with the card , had phone no mentioned which actually was a card sr number. So if you are looking for your number before you start travel , you wont have it .
My rating for the card is 3 and half ….

It was extremely difficult to get started. Asked for PIN and then PUK number. Both were not provided by TSIM till I wrote to services. Also as soon as you put the sim in a dual sim phone the phone would not start before you enter the details above. Therefore you need to take the sim out, go on the free wifi and then wait for email from services. It wasted about 45 min on the airport. I did not have the local phone numbers as well in advance like you get most of the time.

I got this sim for Rs 1389 which is very cheap compared to the SIMs sold at airport either in India or in Europe. The SIM worked perfectly in all countries. I didn’t know that it will not work in Monaco, I thought that it will be covered in France as Monaco is such a tiny country. Overall experience was good but if you are travelling to Monaco, just choose another option.

Some providers require you to enter the SIM pin when the card is inserted as a security measure. The PIN is printed on the packaging. Without the PIN the SIM card will not function. We regret the inconvenience and have processed a refund.
