Using the SIM Card

Using the SIM Card for the first time
  1. Power off your phone
  2. Insert your new SIM card
  3. Power on your phone
  4. Ensure that roaming is turned on your phone.
  5. Your phone should connect on a GSM/WCDMA/LTE network.

Please also note, using this SIM card to surf Internet or make calls outside covered countries will significantly reduce the data and voice usage capacity, or even cause the SIM card to stop functioning.

Receiving calls

People anywhere in the world can dial your UK or French number directly to reach you, for example, +44774132 12345 or +33674132 12345. The local number is especially useful for booking cabs, hotels and restaurant reservations.

Making local calls

For the purposes of this card, local calls include calls to any country mentioned under “Coverage”, from any country mentioned under “Coverage”. To make such calls use the full international format. E.g. to call a UK landline number from any country use (for example) +44 207 222 1234.

What is an eSIM?

eSIM stands for “embedded” SIM which is installed in your phone by scanning a QR code or tapping a notification. If an activation date is required the QR code / Notification is sent after activation, else 24hours after completing your documentation.

eSIM Advantages

  • Easy to use: Set up your plan by scanning a simple QR code or tapping a notification.
  • Save on Shipping cost: No physical delivery requirement
  • Save on time: In a rush to travel? We will send eSIM QR Code via email. Scan it as per instructions and It will be ready to use upon arrival.
  • Keep your original SIM: The eSIM is in addition to your original SIM which will work as usual if you need it.

eSIM Disadvantages

  • Unfamiliar: Since it is a new technology expect to be learning a bit.
  • eSIM Compatible Phones: eSIM will only work in eSIM compatible phones. As a general rule, iPhone 11 and Android model 2021 and higher models are compatible with eSIM.
  • Single Use Only: Most eSIM codes can be used only once. Please do not delete the eSIM created on your phone, since it cannot be recreated on your phone or any other phone. However you can de-activate the eSIM when not needed from your settings.
  • Transfer of eSIM: To transfer an eSIM from one phone to another you must visit the store of the Operator concerned. However some USA eSIMs can be transferred from one iPhone to another.

Activating eSIM on your Device using a QR Code

Most eSIMs are installed using a QR code. The QR code is sent to you by eMail. You need an Internet connection to install an eSIM

iPhone XR, XS and newer
  1. Go to Settings, then Cellular.
  2. Select Add a plan, and the Camera app will open.
  3. Point your camera at the QR activation code until you see a message that says Installing cellular plan.
2021 Android and newer
  1. Go to Settings > Connections > SIM card manager
  2. Tap Add mobile plan
  3. Tap Add using QR code
  4. Scan the QR activation code

Activating eSIM on your Device using an Operator Notification

T-mobile, AT&T and some other operators make it even simpler to install eSIMs. They send a notification directly to your phone. Just tap on the notification and follow the instructions as in images below. The notification is sent to the phone you intend to use on your trip for which you have given us the EID and IMEI number by dialing *#06#.

    I used a TSIM in Spain and France recently. Paris, Valencia and Barcelona It worked perfect in both Spain and France. And in these 3 cities there was no signal issue. Data worked well in the hotels, train, streets and elsewhere. It also worked fine in a train journey. Its a pretty good option while traveling in Europe. Calls to India are via an intermediate number but that is fine for me.

    I cannot recommend this product enough! I got three sim cards each with different activation dates and it was activated as per request. The network coverage was brilliant throughout. Travelling to different countries and the transition was absolutely flawless! 4GB of data was adequate for 30 days if you restrict your usage to texts and maps and avoid streaming. Overall, purchasing the three sim cards was the best decision!

    I used the Unlimited Europe Sim for two weeks in Turkey and UK between 19 Nov 2019 and 3rd Dec. I must commend the excellent connectivity which was always available. The data speed was excellent in both the countries. Even in the remotest Scottish highlands I got good connectivity of both voice and data. One issue (if it can be called an issue) I observed was sometimes connectivity was lost but it was regained after putting the phone in flight mode and back in a few seconds. Overall great service. Will definitely use it again on my next trip.

    We used the Unlimited Europe SIM Card during our multi country trip to Europe and the network was really good during our entire trip. Our main usage was for data however we also called up some local or other European nation numbers occasionally. Never used it to call India as we always relied on whatsapp calling feature for it.

    There was limited 4GB data in the card I had taken so we didn’t use the data for video streaming but apart from that Google maps, mails, messaging etc. worked like a charm and at the end of trip we had more than 2 GB left out. I would recommend everyone to purchase this for Europe travel. This is one of the cheapest and best option available in market today for Indian customers

    Answered by the admin You may scan the eSIM before reaching the destination & set the status to disabled. You may enable the same on reaching the destination. Do NOT DELETE the eSIM once installed as the eSIM cannot be re installed if QR code already scanned once. You will need to buy a new SIM.

    Yes! You will need to provide your Passport Copy (photo page + address page copy) & Visa copy. The link to upload these documents would have been sent to you after successfully placing the order. The SIM automatically activates when you insert the SIM in any covered country. Your validity period begins when the card is activated.

    Answered by the admin 2 Stage Dialling is applicable to the TSIM EU Economy SIMs for calling to India. It involves using TSIM Calling Service wherein users dial a UK Access Number & when prompted dial their India number in full international format. E.g. 912224216344. Details also sent alongwith the order. All of these plans are good to use in Europe. These plans have have varying amounts of data & talktime. You can select the plan according to your needs.
