Using the SIM Card

Using the SIM Card for the first time
  1. Power off your phone
  2. Insert your new SIM card
  3. Power on your phone
  4. Ensure that roaming is turned on your phone.
  5. Your phone should connect on a GSM/WCDMA/LTE network.

Please also note, using this SIM card to surf Internet or make calls outside covered countries will significantly reduce the data and voice usage capacity, or even cause the SIM card to stop functioning.

Receiving calls

People anywhere in the world can dial your UK or French number directly to reach you, for example, +44774132 12345 or +33674132 12345. The local number is especially useful for booking cabs, hotels and restaurant reservations.

Making local calls

For the purposes of this card, local calls include calls to any country mentioned under “Coverage”, from any country mentioned under “Coverage”. To make such calls use the full international format. E.g. to call a UK landline number from any country use (for example) +44 207 222 1234.

What is an eSIM?

eSIM stands for “embedded” SIM which is installed in your phone by scanning a QR code or tapping a notification. If an activation date is required the QR code / Notification is sent after activation, else 24hours after completing your documentation.

eSIM Advantages

  • Easy to use: Set up your plan by scanning a simple QR code or tapping a notification.
  • Save on Shipping cost: No physical delivery requirement
  • Save on time: In a rush to travel? We will send eSIM QR Code via email. Scan it as per instructions and It will be ready to use upon arrival.
  • Keep your original SIM: The eSIM is in addition to your original SIM which will work as usual if you need it.

eSIM Disadvantages

  • Unfamiliar: Since it is a new technology expect to be learning a bit.
  • eSIM Compatible Phones: eSIM will only work in eSIM compatible phones. As a general rule, iPhone 11 and Android model 2021 and higher models are compatible with eSIM.
  • Single Use Only: Most eSIM codes can be used only once. Please do not delete the eSIM created on your phone, since it cannot be recreated on your phone or any other phone. However you can de-activate the eSIM when not needed from your settings.
  • Transfer of eSIM: To transfer an eSIM from one phone to another you must visit the store of the Operator concerned. However some USA eSIMs can be transferred from one iPhone to another.

Activating eSIM on your Device using a QR Code

Most eSIMs are installed using a QR code. The QR code is sent to you by eMail. You need an Internet connection to install an eSIM

iPhone XR, XS and newer
  1. Go to Settings, then Cellular.
  2. Select Add a plan, and the Camera app will open.
  3. Point your camera at the QR activation code until you see a message that says Installing cellular plan.
2021 Android and newer
  1. Go to Settings > Connections > SIM card manager
  2. Tap Add mobile plan
  3. Tap Add using QR code
  4. Scan the QR activation code

Activating eSIM on your Device using an Operator Notification

T-mobile, AT&T and some other operators make it even simpler to install eSIMs. They send a notification directly to your phone. Just tap on the notification and follow the instructions as in images below. The notification is sent to the phone you intend to use on your trip for which you have given us the EID and IMEI number by dialing *#06#.

    Very good card for calling purpose. We used for 12 days in Europe in various counties. Worked without hassle for calling.

    But data was bit slow and speed was 2G. You can just chat or have slow use of net, no browsing. This was sad part.

    Good customer care team to help online during trip when one.sim was.not.working, they helped us to get it activated.

    A must have item while traveling as you get the data 24 hrs at good speed. Earlier we were looking at free WiFi to get on to the net. I have used this TSIM Card earlier too. We explored the local places on our own and needed the GPS all the time – walking tours, shopping and locating places / eateries. Sometimes the diction of the local guides was difficult to understand and Lo ! we could get into google on the spot and learn more about the history etc., We could even decide to visit or skip places to see after a short search.
    Very convenient for Indian travelers who need to be in touch with calls to India. We got clear voice calls. Only problem was to call the UK number, wait, use the India prefix +91 and then dial the India number. We had to memorise or note down the number before calling, Very little time is given to make the call after you get a nod from the UK number. We could not pick India number from our contact list. Worth the spend on it.

    I have taken 30 days 2GB and 120 minutes plan. It was working absolutely fine. In Rome, I was facing some network issues.     Use the sim in France, Switzerland and Italy. There were no problems faced in France and Switzerland but in Rome, it would periodically switch off data and so had to turn on/off airplane mode frequently. This problem was faced only in Rome for 3 days but everywhere else the sim worked well. I would recommend the sim to friends travelling to europe as the best and cheapest option.

Huge surplus of calling minutes and data – consumed less than 1.25 GB with google maps turned on continuously for 2 weeks for both car journeys and local intra city transport, browsing and whatsapp. 2 stage calling to India is very easy.     I used it in Switzerland for 8 days. Used only 200 MB of data – was extremely useful to plan trips /find trains on the go with the SBB app. Calling to India is 2 stage and had good clarity from major cities such as Interlaken and Lucerne. It was a bit poor from some of the other cities but I had no issues with data in such places. Using whatsapp on data worked fine in one such place (I tried this the last day – wish I had done so earlier). Overall, a value for money.

    Tips: Insert the SIM card only after reaching Europe. Dial 444 to know the balance if it is a Three SIM. (I think it was mentioned as 333 in this website, I searched Three’s website and got the correct number)

    when I wanted to get TSIM Sim Card for my 20 days Europe trip, honestly i was in a deliema. Because it was first time that I have heard of TSIM as a brand.
    But following is my experience.

    – Travelled to 3 countries in my trip in Europe, Sim worked perfectly in all regions.
    – 4G network speed meets all your expectations.
    – WhatsApp customer support gives prompt and meaningful replies. (Real boon!!)
    – 2 stage dialling is tedious but works fine. (saved some money :))
    – All calls to India via 2 stage dialling were successful but had a 2 second delay.
    – 12 GB of data for 20 days was way satisfying.
    – As an Indian travelling abroad, I had a pleasant experience with TSIM

    Worked like a charm. I used it in multiple countries starting from Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, Italy, France and Spain. Only registering for the first time in Prague took slightly longer time. But then it works pretty well everywhere. Able to make video calls to friends and family back home without any issues. Only drawback is that you don’t get to know how much data and minutes are remaining.

    I STRONGLY recommend:
    1) keep the customer care number, mobile number of new sim, your order ID on hand
    2) read the directions for india 2-stage dialling (or buy the non-economy version!)

    With those precautions in mind, the SIM works well. Customer service is very responsive and helpful. Took a couple tries as I found directions confusing, but India dialling also works well, good quality.

    I recommend ordering a converter im case the bonus gift one they provide gets a bit loose.

    Yes! You will need to provide your Passport Copy (photo page + address page copy) & Visa copy. The link to upload these documents would have been sent to you after successfully placing the order. The SIM automatically activates when you insert the SIM in any covered country. Your validity period begins when the card is activated.

It involves using TSIM Calling Service wherein users dial a UK Access Number & when prompted dial their India number in full international format. E.g. 912224216344.
