Using the SIM Card

Using the SIM Card for the first time
  1. Power off your phone
  2. Insert your new SIM card
  3. Power on your phone
  4. Ensure that roaming is turned on your phone.
  5. Your phone should connect on a GSM/WCDMA/LTE network.

Please also note, using this SIM card to surf Internet or make calls outside covered countries will significantly reduce the data and voice usage capacity, or even cause the SIM card to stop functioning.

Receiving calls

People anywhere in the world can dial your UK or French number directly to reach you, for example, +44774132 12345 or +33674132 12345. The local number is especially useful for booking cabs, hotels and restaurant reservations.

Making local calls

For the purposes of this card, local calls include calls to any country mentioned under “Coverage”, from any country mentioned under “Coverage”. To make such calls use the full international format. E.g. to call a UK landline number from any country use (for example) +44 207 222 1234.

What is an eSIM?

eSIM stands for “embedded” SIM which is installed in your phone by scanning a QR code or tapping a notification. If an activation date is required the QR code / Notification is sent after activation, else 24hours after completing your documentation.

eSIM Advantages

  • Easy to use: Set up your plan by scanning a simple QR code or tapping a notification.
  • Save on Shipping cost: No physical delivery requirement
  • Save on time: In a rush to travel? We will send eSIM QR Code via email. Scan it as per instructions and It will be ready to use upon arrival.
  • Keep your original SIM: The eSIM is in addition to your original SIM which will work as usual if you need it.

eSIM Disadvantages

  • Unfamiliar: Since it is a new technology expect to be learning a bit.
  • eSIM Compatible Phones: eSIM will only work in eSIM compatible phones. As a general rule, iPhone 11 and Android model 2021 and higher models are compatible with eSIM.
  • Single Use Only: Most eSIM codes can be used only once. Please do not delete the eSIM created on your phone, since it cannot be recreated on your phone or any other phone. However you can de-activate the eSIM when not needed from your settings.
  • Transfer of eSIM: To transfer an eSIM from one phone to another you must visit the store of the Operator concerned. However some USA eSIMs can be transferred from one iPhone to another.

Activating eSIM on your Device using a QR Code

Most eSIMs are installed using a QR code. The QR code is sent to you by eMail. You need an Internet connection to install an eSIM

iPhone XR, XS and newer
  1. Go to Settings, then Cellular.
  2. Select Add a plan, and the Camera app will open.
  3. Point your camera at the QR activation code until you see a message that says Installing cellular plan.
2021 Android and newer
  1. Go to Settings > Connections > SIM card manager
  2. Tap Add mobile plan
  3. Tap Add using QR code
  4. Scan the QR activation code

Activating eSIM on your Device using an Operator Notification

T-mobile, AT&T and some other operators make it even simpler to install eSIMs. They send a notification directly to your phone. Just tap on the notification and follow the instructions as in images below. The notification is sent to the phone you intend to use on your trip for which you have given us the EID and IMEI number by dialing *#06#.

    I would have rated the TSim Orange French network at five stars but for the reason I’m sharing. We flew into Copenhagen on 11 July 2024. I inserted the SIM in my iPhone in the flight, switched on my phone after landing.It started working immediately. Within minutes I received a SMS giving my contact number as also instructions with a link to complete my registration for continuous coverage. I followed the instructions and completed my registration the next day, all fine so far. However, in the evening on 12 July 2024 my mobile network stopped working. We were travelling under our own arrangements, not through any travel agency, mobile internet was like oxygen for us. Our Eurail reservations were totally dependent on mobile internet network. We had to cut short our rest of sightseeing for the day and returned to our hotel where we had WiFi availability. I searched for helplines and chat options where I contacted the French Orange network contacts, somehow in a chat an operator assured me that she would approach her technical team to restore my mobile internet. I slept at 1 AM that night. Next morning the first thing I did was to check my mobile internet, thankfully it had been restored and was working. We would have been rendered totally helpless and lost without mobile internet. We had already considered options of getting another SIM at additional cost. It was a harrowing experience for us that evening. During a fortnight’s travel, that too under our own arrangement time is of essence and disruption like this result in harassment.
    To the credit of TSim India whom I reached out that night, there was a response, though it was only reassurance. However , in such a dire situation it helps if there is at least a response.
    There were no instructions at the time of purchase that I should not act on Orange network SMS to register when prompted while in Scandinavia.
    Other than that harrowing half day the SIM worked perfectly, I could call unlimited and mobile internet gave good coverage except in certain areas while our train passed through tunnels.

    I had little doubts if this will work properly in the beginning, when we read some contrasting reviews, but I think this was the best and cheapest international sim that worked greatly for us. there was a problem in Prague, but the we figured out Prague did not have 5G so we had to shift our phones to 4G and it worked great again at most of the places.

Do NOT DELETE the eSIM once installed as the eSIM cannot be re installed if QR code already scanned once. You will need to buy a new SIM.

    Yes! You will need to provide your Passport Copy (photo page + address page copy) & Visa copy. The link to upload these documents would have been sent to you after successfully placing the order. The SIM automatically activates when you insert the SIM in any covered country. Your validity period begins when the card is activated.

It involves using TSIM Calling Service wherein users dial a UK Access Number & when prompted dial their India number in full international format. E.g. 912224216344.
