Using the SIM Card

Using the SIM Card for the first time
  1. Power off your phone
  2. Insert your new SIM card
  3. Power on your phone
  4. Ensure that roaming is turned on your phone.
  5. Your phone should connect on a GSM/WCDMA/LTE network.

Please also note, using this SIM card to surf Internet or make calls outside covered countries will significantly reduce the data and voice usage capacity, or even cause the SIM card to stop functioning.

Receiving calls

People anywhere in the world can dial your UK or French number directly to reach you, for example, +44774132 12345 or +33674132 12345. The local number is especially useful for booking cabs, hotels and restaurant reservations.

Making local calls

For the purposes of this card, local calls include calls to any country mentioned under “Coverage”, from any country mentioned under “Coverage”. To make such calls use the full international format. E.g. to call a UK landline number from any country use (for example) +44 207 222 1234.

What is an eSIM?

eSIM stands for “embedded” SIM which is installed in your phone by scanning a QR code or tapping a notification. If an activation date is required the QR code / Notification is sent after activation, else 24hours after completing your documentation.

eSIM Advantages

  • Easy to use: Set up your plan by scanning a simple QR code or tapping a notification.
  • Save on Shipping cost: No physical delivery requirement
  • Save on time: In a rush to travel? We will send eSIM QR Code via email. Scan it as per instructions and It will be ready to use upon arrival.
  • Keep your original SIM: The eSIM is in addition to your original SIM which will work as usual if you need it.

eSIM Disadvantages

  • Unfamiliar: Since it is a new technology expect to be learning a bit.
  • eSIM Compatible Phones: eSIM will only work in eSIM compatible phones. As a general rule, iPhone 11 and Android model 2021 and higher models are compatible with eSIM.
  • Single Use Only: Most eSIM codes can be used only once. Please do not delete the eSIM created on your phone, since it cannot be recreated on your phone or any other phone. However you can de-activate the eSIM when not needed from your settings.
  • Transfer of eSIM: To transfer an eSIM from one phone to another you must visit the store of the Operator concerned. However some USA eSIMs can be transferred from one iPhone to another.

Activating eSIM on your Device using a QR Code

Most eSIMs are installed using a QR code. The QR code is sent to you by eMail. You need an Internet connection to install an eSIM

iPhone XR, XS and newer
  1. Go to Settings, then Cellular.
  2. Select Add a plan, and the Camera app will open.
  3. Point your camera at the QR activation code until you see a message that says Installing cellular plan.
2021 Android and newer
  1. Go to Settings > Connections > SIM card manager
  2. Tap Add mobile plan
  3. Tap Add using QR code
  4. Scan the QR activation code

Activating eSIM on your Device using an Operator Notification

T-mobile, AT&T and some other operators make it even simpler to install eSIMs. They send a notification directly to your phone. Just tap on the notification and follow the instructions as in images below. The notification is sent to the phone you intend to use on your trip for which you have given us the EID and IMEI number by dialing *#06#.

    Must recommend to the Travellers going to Europe to use this SIM. It was very smooth to order the SIM online; activation process was also easy. However, TSIM may consider an easy to handle app where at the time of order, uploading of passport and visa details can be done at once. I bought two SIMs with one wrongly ordered eSIM which was promptly cancelled by the Customer Care Team over phone, though I am yet to receive the refund. Have raised this matter with them. Both data and voice services were excellent across the cities of Paris, Rome and Milan and during our train journey from Rome to Milan. Overall, we had happy experiences.

    I should not have even given 1 star, but only due to the fact I was able to use the services for 4 days , I have give a single star.

    I subscribed to 30 GB data plan for 14 days. The services worked for 3 days smoothly in France but on 4th day the outgoing calls were barred without any message. On same day , A call came in evening , where the person on other side was speaking in French , I couldnot understand what he was trying to convey and just after the completion of call ,my SIM lost the network connection. Basically SIM deregistered itself from the network. Later I tried to contact TSIM thru email,WA,phone etc but they were not able to resolve the issue.Moreover TSIM couldnot even offer other alternative like e-SIM to me.

    I had to activate international roaming on my INDIAN SIM which costed heftly for remaining 10 days. I request TSIM to kindly refund my money for the default services and compensate me for the cost incurred due to international roaming activation/usage on my INDIAN SIM.

    I would not recommend TSIM/this plan to any one.

    I was travelling for Europe between 19 June to 4th July 2024. For the first time, I have not activated IR on my local airtel sim and used T Sim instead for my travel and I am glad that it has not disappointed throughout the journey.

    Application process is simple. However, I still recommend to have the option to upload passport, visa or tickets right at the time of applying for the sim. The present process require a follow – up on email which unnecessarily delay the delivery of the sim card.

    During the journey, the connectivity of internet as well as voice call, both were exceptional. At least I haven’t found any issue of manually changing the network or restarting the device. Once landed to Europe, it has started to function and worked well until I left Rome as the last destination.

    Compare to other providers, it is budget friendly and can be trusted for your upcoming travel.

    Out of different options, I opted for complimentary travel adapter, which has been working fine without any issue.

    Answered by the admin You may scan the eSIM before reaching the destination & set the status to disabled. You may enable the same on reaching the destination. Do NOT DELETE the eSIM once installed as the eSIM cannot be re installed if QR code already scanned once. You will need to buy a new SIM.

    Yes! You will need to provide your Passport Copy (photo page + address page copy) & Visa copy. The link to upload these documents would have been sent to you after successfully placing the order. The SIM automatically activates when you insert the SIM in any covered country. Your validity period begins when the card is activated.

It involves using TSIM Calling Service wherein users dial a UK Access Number & when prompted dial their India number in full international format. E.g. 912224216344.
