Using the SIM Card
Using the SIM Card for the first time
- Power off your phone
- Insert your new SIM card
- Power on your phone
- Your phone should connect on a GSM/WCDMA/LTE network.
Please also note, using this SIM card to surf Internet or make calls outside coverage will significantly reduce the data and voice usage capacity, or even cause the SIM card to stop functioning.
Receiving calls
People anywhere in the world can dial your UK number directly to reach you, for example, +44774132 12345.
Emergency Call Number.
Please note Europe emergency call number “112” will NOT work in this card.
Making local calls
For the purposes of this card, local calls include calls to any country mentioned under “Coverage”, from any country mentioned under “Coverage”. To make such calls use the full international format. E.g. to call a UK landline number from any country use (for example) +44 207 222 1234.
Making calls to India
Remember to add the country code when making calls to India. Check that the number begins with +91 before dialing. E.g. to call India number 022 24216344, dial +91 22 24216344

Should you use automatic or manual network selection?
There are two ways of selecting a network. You can either set your handset to use AUTOMATIC Network selection or MANUAL selection. When using automatic selection the handset will look for all networks that it is able to attach to and logs onto the first network it finds. When using manual selection you must manually search through the networks and select a network to attach to. We recommend using automatic network selection. Please refer to your handset manual to check the default settings for your phone.
Setting up call forwarding/divert
To activate call forwarding/call divert, dial *102(phone number in international format)#. You will get a confirmation message on the screen. For eg. *102912224216344#. To deactivate dial *103#
Setting data on your phone
Please ensure Mobile Data & Data Roaming is enabled on your phone. Setup APN (Access Point Name) manually as follows:
Set Access Point Name (APN) in your smartphone to “globaldata” without any username or password
On Android Phones, tap the Menu button / Settings / Mobile networks / Access Point Names / New APN / Set Name & APN as “globaldata” / OK / Save
On iPhone: Tap Settings / General / Network / Cellular Data Network / APN and enter “globaldata”. Leave username & password blank. Tap Network
On iPhone6 & above:
a. While connected to WiFi, open Safari and goto: m.apnchanger.org
b. Select Manual
c. Enter “globaldata” in APN Name (small letters & no spaces) and click install.
d. If asked for a PIN enter your iPhone 4 digit unlocking PIN
e. Approve the installation of the unsigned profile.
On some iPhone devices you will need to remove the existing current Profile (found in Settings-> General -> Profile -> Existing Profile -> Remove) before installing the Globaldata APN.
On Windows Phone: Go to Apps list / Settings / Mobile Network / Add Internet APN / Set APN as “globaldata” / Save
Checking your Balance
You will periodically get automatic balance messages on your phone. Another way to get balance information is to dial +163 162 10 001 from your phone and disconnect after a few rings. The call will not be answered and you will not be charged for that call. You will later receive an SMS with balance information.

Refund Policy
You are eligible for a refund on unused talktime/data with usage rounded to the next slab. I.e. If you use 2.8GB after subscribing to a 6GB SIM card, your usage will be taken to be 4GB, and you will get refund on the difference between the price of a 4GB and 6GB card. This refund is available for 12 months after payment.

The SIM worked fine on Germany which was our first stop. When we went to Austria, it did not work and we had to contact costumer care via chat. They responded and the SIM worked OK, both data and calls. However, when we went to Switzerland the SIM could not receive calls from any AIRTEL phone on roaming. This made it difficult to communicate between the phones. Customer care could not help us. Data also worked intermittently depending on the place we were in. In some places even outgoing calls were not possible. On the whole the experience was not satisfactory. Days balance is not available on the website.

SIM doesn’t work in India
After making calls you won’t get notifications of time left in your account same for data as well, you’ll not know the balance until a fine day when it stops working abruptly and says recharge again.
Be careful data won’t work unless you change network preference to 3G or below.
Customer care response are appreciated for quick revert however it is difficult to understand what they write on the email and make the changes in your phone accordingly. Instead i recommend tsim to collect all the risk scenarios and prepare FAQ and circulate.

It worked fine during my first visit to Europe but I had lot of trouble during the second visit. Out of 10 days it worked only for a day. I was in touch with the support staff and that coated me rs. 5000 finally it worked fine during my third visit. The other issue is that I didn’t got any updates on my usage and one fine day I couldn’t make any call due to insufficient balance. It will be great if TSim can let me know about the balance.

I used the “Refundable Lifetime Europe SIM Card” for travel to Slovenia & Italy. The company is very professional and I was very happy with their dealings with me. The SIM arrived as promised and worked like a charm. I was even able to switch it on in India to make sure it is operational (of course you don’t want to use it in India). The SIM worked as soon as I landed in Slovenia and in Italy. I did not have to do anything to activate the data service on my old iPhone (4S). The only issue I had was the “balance checking” service. It gave me wrong information and I had to call TSIM in India to get the correct balance. On return to India, the remaining balance was returned to me without any hassle. Very professional company. I will definitely use them, again.

We bought 2 SIMs. Both were working fine. After a week, one of them stopped detecting any signal. I followed up with the customer service continuously for a week on email. The Tsim customer service team was responsive, but failed to correct it. So, despite having a SIM card with balance in it, I was connectivity less and my plan got wasted.
I wish to mention that the other SIM card worked perfectly fine for the entire two weeks.

hi all, recently used the tsim in amsterdam, iceland including remote south coast and then in norway.. initially, there was a problem with connectivity in amsterdam on arrival , then posted the problem using wifi of hotel with tsim online chat, and it was fixed the very next day.. thereafter, there was no problem till the end..before flying, talked with idea, airtel, but they dont have any packs for iceland and norway.. call rate 150inr/min. so, if u are moving to any of above countries, even europe, tsim definitely serves to be cheapest with flawless connectivity..

Worked fine in Iceland. But an hour after I landed in Czech, the SIM stopped working.
I contacted customer care but unfortunately they could not solve the issue. I had to take a local SIM card which was MUCH cheaper than TSIM’s offers and was very easily available.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend anyone to buy TSIM as not only it is much more costly, but very unreliable also.

Our Europe SIM card is designed to be of use in a trip to multiple countries. It is possible you find local SIM cards in each country that may have data or calling, or both, cheaper than TSIM’s Europe SIM card. However, in most cases, you may find that identifying and purchasing SIM cards in each country is not a worthwhile use of your time.

I used it during my 17 days trip of 4 countries across Europe – France, Switzerland, Italy and Greece. It worked very well in all the countries. Just that in switzerland there were some issues with mobile data connectivity i.e. I had to turn on the flight mode and then turn it off, for getting the data connection through. But this seemed to be the issue of local service provider Salt. Didn’t face it anywhere else. Voice call quality was also good. All in all a very good service in Europe.
Since this is a lifetime card, if there is any balance left, it can be used for any later trips. (This is what I got to know from the customer care representative.) That makes it a good deal. Only shortfall with this card is that balance cannot be checked on the go.

However checking balance is a bit tedious, as the plans have been designed to be dynamic. Dynamic plans are great, but you guys could maybe have a simple one pager app for this tracking.

There is no way to find out how much balance is left…. Suddenly the SIM card stopped working without any notice or warning on the amount of usage and there is no way to find out online either. I had to recharge the SIM card sitting in a foreign country and that too taking the help of someone from India….. Rest is ok.

I used the SIM card in the Czech republic, Hungary and Croatia. It worked fine.
Topping up (while abroad) was a bit of a problem and I finally had to do a NEFT payment to the TSIM HDFC account.
Also it would be good if there was an bigger incentive for additional usage. The additional minutes are virtually multiples of the first 100 minutes.
However, the SIM card worked fine and was very useful so, I would definitely use it again.

We are sorry you found the top up process problematic. For the refundable SIM Card we recommend customers to take a higher slab, since if the slab is not used, it is refunded. E.g., if you take a 4GB card, and use only upto 2GB, the difference in price between a 4GB and 2GB card is refunded.
